The year was 1984, and a new slasher film was released under New Line Cinema called “A Nightmare on Elm Street”. From that moment on, the name Freddy Krueger would become synonymous with gory horror films.
In the same light, Bad Drip released their Director’s Cut Liquids as an homage to legendary horror films in the past. Nancey’s New Nightmare seems to be a pretty obvious throwback to A Nightmare on Elm Street (minus the extra E in Nancy’s name…but I digress). The flavor is described as “Fluffy waffles topped with butter pecan, salted caramel and hints of hazelnut that are so lovely they can turn any nightmare into a dream come true. Take breakfast on the go, but not just any breakfast, an executive breakfast fit for a king or queen. Indulge in layers upon layers of delicious flavors.”
Packaging: Probably one of the more noticeable bits of Bad Drip’s marketing is their use of labels to grab people’s attention. Nothing seems to do that more than legendary horror film characters. The odd part to this, though, is the usage of an offshoot of Texas Chainsaw Massacre on A Nightmare on Elm Street type flavor name. Maybe they’re trying to cover a ton of bases at once. The main character on this is a clown masked character (mask covered in blood, btw) wielding a massive chainsaw. The far right side shows “Director’s Cut presents…Nancey’s New Nightmare”. The text below credits “Directed by the Santana Brothers” followed by Prop 65 warnings, ingredients, the whole nine yards. The very bottom uses a “Rated R” graphic with the text “Evil never tasted so good”.
Flavor: If that isn’t enough to catch your attention, the flavor will. The pecans have a subtle nutty aroma mixed with a creamy hazelnut flavor. Waffles serve as a pretty subtle base, and the salted caramel coasts through the end of the exhale. This is a very rich vape that surprisingly isn’t too overwhelming on the taste buds. I fully expected vapers tongue at least a third of the way through, but my taste buds did not get overwhelmed at any point with the copious amounts of flavor being thrown at them.
Cloud Production: This has some pretty full cloud production that holds volume pretty well. Cotton maintained pretty decently for such a heavy flavor mixture. All of this in a 75/25 blend bottle.
Bottle Size: 60ml
Nicotine Strength: 0mg, 3mg, 6mg
Final Thoughts: I have never doubted Bad Drip. I didn’t realize at the time that they created this juice, but it further solidified my faith in their abilities as juice makers to create something special and unique. Sure this fits perfectly in my flavor profile, but anyone that I have spoken to about “Director’s Cut” line has always said this is THE flavor to go for. Honestly, I’d have to agree!
