NicPicks

In my quest to quit smoking, I tried a wide variety of nicotine trinkets that were designed with the purpose of helping me to quit smoking.  Needless to say, they didn’t work.  What impressed me about NicPicks is that it’s not an item designed to get you to quit smoking.  It does exactly the same thing as those items to, and that is to temporarily quelch the need to go outside and vape/smoke.

For me, I am constantly on the go.  I have a desk job during the day and I work with the public at night.  I don’t normally like to excuse myself to have a quick fix, and even more often I am not allowed that luxury as often as I would like.  That’s where this comes into play.  A tiny tube with about 20 toothpicks held conveniently in my pocket for just when I need them.

This also helps a great deal with what a lot of vapers and smokers have to deal with psychologically, and that is an oral fixation.  Maybe it’s not necessarily the flavor or the toothpick itself, but a combination of the two help this item to be incredibly useful.  The nicotine flavoring doesn’t seem to last too incredibly long, but if you flip the toothpick around, the edge that sits outside your mouth will dry up pretty quickly and you’ll still have some flavoring when the present side fades away.

There are 4 flavors to choose from:

  • Strawberry Menthol – to me this greatly resembles the strawberry chew candys of my youth.  Not too strong on the menthol
  • Coffee – One of my personal favorites.  I do get a slight throat hit from the nicotine on this one, but it blends pretty well with the flavorings used
  • Peppermint – Not too strong on the flavoring, and not too sweet either.
  • Spearmint – Greatly resembles the chewing gum that so many of us use.
