Back about a week ago (or so) Vapetasia posted a contest on their social media pages to guess the latest flavor in the Killer Kustard line. That’s a pretty wide range, considering that every type of custard you can possibly imagine exists on the market today. Blueberry seemed to make the most sense to me (do you hear me, guys?!) but ultimately it was
a little yellow fruit wielding a samurai sword (sorry…) lemon.
All in all, the decision seemed to make perfect sense. You’re more likely to see a lemon custard filled donut than a blueberry custard filled (although…I’d love to see it happen).
The website describes the flavor like this: “Experience a delightful zing when tart lemons are mellowed by our fresh and creamy vanilla custard.”
Packaging: This starts out with a little yellow carton featuring the pirate custard flavor (complete with eyepatch) with his little buddy in front, a yellow lemon wielding a sword pointed backhand. The bottom of the front shows the flavor, bottle size, and nicotine strength. The very back of the box features warnings and ingredients, poison control helpline number, and social media links. One thing that’s hard to miss on this is the large white box at the bottom that says “WARNING: THIS PRODUCT CONTAINS NICOTINE. NICOTINE IS AN ADDICTIVE CHEMICAL” That reads much better than the crap on a pack of cigarettes, right?
Flavor: I wasn’t sure what to expect, since I haven’t tried any of the Killer Kustard flavors before. What I got on the inhale was a creamy and sweet lemon, almost like a Lemonheads candy. Almost immediately, the custard base kicks in and smooths over any citrus bite you might taste. What was the most intriguing to me is the aroma factor on the exhale, giving an extra vanilla custard boost that’s unlike anything else I have vaped in the past.
Cloud Production: This 70/30 blend is not a massive cotton killer. Granted, it will stain your cotton a little bit, but I haven’t had the slightest inclination to get my toolkit ready to change my cotton yet. The cloud production itself is quite impressive, whether you chuck at super sub-ohm or ride a flavor boosting squonkbox. Pretty impressive finish!
Bottle Size: 60ml (for now…I’m sure bigger bottles aren’t too far behind)
Nicotine Strength: 0mg, 3mg, 6mg
The guys at Vapetasia tell me this is currently an ADV for a lot of them, and I tend to agree. I’m sure there are other lemon custard flavors on the market, but I really don’t think they would be as bold or as flavorful as this one. If you are feeling a bit adventurous, head over to the Vapetasia website and give this a shot! And while you’re at it, tell them CoffeeFuel sent you!
