“Every voluptuous curve of our silky impeccant custard is violated with an adulteration of sticky-sweet butterscotch, rich French vanilla with a pinch of hazelnut and just a taste of butter cookie crisp. Guaranteed to intrigue you in ways you never knew existed.”
Part of what intrigues me about 50 Shades of Custard is the personality they give to each bottle of juice. To some, it’s just that. A bottle of juice. But to these guys, each one has it’s own uniqueness that captures and captivates the audience to the point that you want to get to know each one just a little better. And that, my friends, is some very smart marketing on their part!
I thought we would start this journey off by taking a look at a flavor that seems right up my alley as far as flavor profiles. Tanya’s Truffle Shuffle is a custard with butterscotch, vanilla, hazelnut, and butter cookie crisp. Wow…that’s a mouthful!
Packaging: The front of the bottle features what appears to be an oil painting that captures just a part of the profile of the eponymous “Tanya”. The top of the label features the 50 Shades logo on the right and a lipstick kiss on the left. The bottom shows the flavor name, Facebook/Twitter/Instagram logos, and the PG/VG ratio. I’m not sure if anybody has pointed it out yet but Truffle is missing an “R” in the spelling (or I am wrong and it’s actually supposed to be Tuffle…who knows). Far left of the label shows nicotine warnings in big bold letters, and the far right features warnings, ingredients, and a QR code that I would assume takes you to the website.
Flavor: This blend tends to dance between several different flavor combinations on my tongue. One minute it tastes like vanilla ice cream with a caramel drizzle and pecans sprinkled on top, the next minute it’s a rich snickerdoodle cookie. I don’t think it’s possible to narrow down the flavors to one specific experience, but I can see the possibilities with this juice. 50 Shades of Custard talks about the ability to openly mix and match your flavors without changing cotton, and this is one that has limitless mixing possibilities.
Cloud Production: 70/30 blend. Yes it stains your cotton a little bit but it burns off quite nicely. Cloud production is pretty impressive too (full production that maintains some solid form).
Bottle Size: 60ml unicorn and 10ml samples (as part of the Sexy Six Sample Pack here)
Nicotine Strength: 0mg, 3mg, 6mg
Final Thoughts: After seeing Shayne on Instagram talking about this for several months, I must say that it was worth the wait. Would I continue to buy this? Absolutely. But what’s really got me excited is seeing the flavor combinations that I can work with this as a base. I’ll tell you guys about them very soon….
