I knew the team at Overtime Ejuice had been working on something behind the scenes for quite some time. The rumor mill had been flowing ever since the initial launch last year of Overtime Ejuice that three flavors wasn’t enough. They wanted something bigger and bolder, and that’s where Wake Up Call comes into play.
Simply described as a “delicious caramel frappe”, this was anything but simple. I gave this a run during Vape Showcase this past weekend in Dallas, TX.
Packaging: The first stark contrast to the initial flavors is the new and improved label. Gone is the clock face with the large hat. Meet Sam, a business suit clock who is watching his watch with great concern. This gives a much better meaning behind the times used as a name for the juices. What sets this one in particular apart is the brown background that’s scattered with coffee cups and coffee beans. The left side of the label shows nic strength, PG/VG ratio, bottle size, and flavor profile (in big bold letters nonetheless!!) The right side has cautions, warnings, and ingredients.
Flavor: If you have ever tried a frappe before, you know there is barely any hint of coffee in the drink. I found that turning this lower on the wattage gave more of a coffee impression, but to make the caramel pop you really have to turn the wattage up. Oddly enough, the caramel flavor isn’t overpowering enough to give you vapers tongue (even after vaping it for four days straight!!).
Cloud Production: I think the even more impressive part is that this maintained flavor consistently in my super tank during the last two days. There is very little sign of my coil gunking up too much from this, which goes to show the focus on flavor instead of a lot of added sweetener. This is a 80/20 blend, and while the clouds may not maintain form as easily with this, this will cloud up your space very quickly!
Bottle Size: 60ml
Nicotine Strength: 0mg, 3mg, 6mg, 12mg
Final Thoughts: My favorite all-day-vape has been Break Time ever since I found out about Overtime. I didn’t think there would be anything to top it, but this is a very close second. Sure it’s not a pure coffee flavor, but it’s got the same type of rich profile that Break Time always satisfied for me. Who knows, I might try mixing these two together…
