Juice Review: TK4 from Apocalypse Juice

One of the things I loved about Apocalypse Juice is the fact that extra “goodies” were always included in your order.  A couple friends of mine bought me a 30ml of Vicious Hibiscus to try in January, and I received two 10ml sample bottles to try of other flavors.  All in all, I was very impressed with the quality of juice even if hibiscus was WAY outside of my flavor profile.

This time, I took advantage of one of the awesome discount codes and bought a 60ml bottle of Castle Black (which will be reviewed very soon).  Included in this was a 30ml bottle of TK4.  I immediately went to the website and “decoded” the flavor profile.

“Our nod to the original RY4 which is a vanilla, caramel and tobacco vape. A slight nutty note is added to the back and noticed mostly on the exhale.”

Presentation: One other thing that has impressed me about Apocalypse Juice is the cleanliness of the bottle.  In addition to standard warnings, you have a “Born on date” and a Ratio.  They put “Born on date” because the juice can theoretically last longer than a year, and that is due to two key factors.  One, this comes in a glass bottle.  Two, there is very little additives that could cause over oxidation and molecular breakdown of the flavors.  In other words, you could have this bottle in your repertoire for 18 months and still get phenomenal flavor (although…I really don’t think you will have this sitting around for that long…)

Flavor: The robust flavor profile on this emanates from every hit, whether you are using a tank or a dripper. I get more of that RY4 flavor (which, to me, tastes like brown sugar and molasses) on the inhale.  Towards the end, I start to get hints of the spicy flavor notes that give you the tobacco feel..  The exhale gives a solid and even mix of vanilla and caramel.  Too often the vanilla flavor gets buried under a huge list of other flavor mixes.  This gives vanilla the opportunity to shine and dance all night with caramel in the mix.  This is easily a new all day vape for me.

Cloud Production: 70VG/30PG.  There used to be the ability to customize your PG/VG ratio, but more and more companies are transitioning to a standard 70/30 mix.  This gives good cloud representation without sacrificing flavor.  One thing that Tony pointed out in his interview (and that I mentioned above) is that they try to maintain a clean vape so you won’t have to repeatedly change your cotton and coils.  Even with the robustness and richness of flavor, I still was able to maintain relatively clean coils.

Bottle Size: 30ml, 60ml, 120ml

Nicotine Strength: 0mg, 1.5mg, 3mg, 6mg, 12mg, 18mg, 24mg

Definitely make sure you go check out the website.  I have not had a bad juice from these guys yet, and I’m willing to bet that I won’t either.

Until next time…vape on!
