Juice Review: Hazelnut Custard from Vape Escape

From time to time, I like to check out “house made” juices.  You know, the ones that are part of a specific shop (or in some cases…chains) that are exclusive to that particular name.  They are not pre-bottled at another facility but rather made in house.  Usually in plastic bottles with needle nose tips.  Make no mistake, no two “house lines” are made equal.

Take for example Density, from Vape Escape.  When you look at the flavor list, everything has a deep richness that I prefer in my e-liquids.  Deserts and drinks, rich in flavor and complexity.  Density accurately describes the flavors in that they are meant to be very dense experiences.  No dainty fruits and candys in this mix.

Hazelnut custard is just how it sounds.  Quite simply, it is a creamy custard with hazelnut.  That’s it.  I tried this earlier this week as sort of a throwback to when I started vaping a year ago.  For the longest time, I was addicted to hazelnut flavors.  Creamer for my coffee, candies (if I could find them), and even my vape.  The first flavor that got me off of smoking was a hazelnut from AVAIL.

This gave me quite a unique experience from what I experienced a year ago, though…

Flavor: Let’s start with the dripper.  I have explained before how using a dripper can toss you into odd places in the vaping experience.  Think of it like a story where you hear half of chapter two, six lines of chapter eight, then jump back to the middle of chapter four.  The flavors don’t always come across as intended, which can be off putting to some people.  That was definitely the case with this one. Heavy on the custard with barely any recognition of a hazelnut, it didn’t appeal to me on the dripper.

Then I tossed it in my Crown tank.  0.25ohm, 70 watts.  The custard all but disappeared and gave way to a very creamy hazelnut flavor.  Not too overpowering, not too sweet.  The custard didn’t come across as peppery, which is common with a lot of house lines.  It actually gave quite a bit of depth to the hazelnut flavor.  It almost made it…dense.

Cloud Production: 70VG/30PG, this had incredible cloud production, hit after hit.  My coil did take a pretty good beating from the cotton killing, but it still continued to deliver a solid flavor and cloud production even after the gunking took effect.

Bottle Size: 30ml, 150ml

Nicotine Strength: 0mg, 3mg, 6mg

Make sure you guys go check out the website here.  You do not want to miss out on this and the other awesome lines at Vape Escape.

Until next time…vape on!
