Juice Review: Dillinger from Villain Vapors

Almost everyone I talked to about Villain Vapors has said this one was one of their favorites.  This rings true to my flavor profile, so I was excited to give it a shot.

Here’s what the website lists as the flavor profile:

“(Vanilla Custard, Ice Cream & Caramel)
Your favorite vanilla ice cream with a perfect amount of sweet caramel drizzle.”

Flavor: Not totally sure where the ice cream portion came from, I did get a good combination of custard and caramel.  The custard wasn’t eggy (bonus points!) and maintained a solid amount of creamy complexity that you want in an all day custard vape.

The caramel wasn’t too rich, in my opinion.  Everything from the aroma to the rich undertones can be contributed to the caramel flavor in this.  The bad news, however, is that I felt the rich tones were sometimes too much for my flavor profile.  The flavor did get muted a few times.

The solution?  Just a hint of salted caramel would balance this out perfectly.  I had another flavor that I would add to my dripper with some salted caramel, and the flavor just popped! The custard became that much creamier, the caramel just erupted in flavor.  Take note, juice makers.  A slight hint of salted caramel might be worth looking into….

Cloud Production: This is listed as Max VG.  That’s a pretty relative term to the ratio of PG/VG.  I feel it’s somewhere between the 75/25 to 80/20 range.  Cloud production was pretty impressive, although I did get some cotton gunking after about half a day.  For this rich a flavor, I’m willing to make the sacrifice.
