Juice Review: Strawmelon Max by Earth’s Bounty

I have to admit something to you guys.  I have been sitting on this one for a couple of weeks now, completely stumped on how to present this to you.  Maybe my tongue is getting confused, but I am having a hard time putting this into words.

Let’s start with the basics.  What is Strawmelon?  Just like you would think, a fruity blend of strawberry and watermelon.  Seems pretty simple, right?

Flavor: What has me so confused is this.  I feel like something is missing from this juice.  The strawberry doesn’t taste like a fresh piece of fruit, and the watermelon just doesn’t give a great deal of depth.  I’m not saying this is a bad thing, but I always look for something in a juice that gives it depth and definition.  Some sort of base that helps me feel like “Wow, this is as good inhaling as it is exhaling.”  The flavor seemed to stay at my throat and didn’t really seem to follow through beyond that point.

If I had to compare a taste, I would say an Airheads or Laffy Taffy, where the flavor seems to stop past a certain point.  This one would definitely be more for the candy people, who want to replicate a candy type taste instead of going for a fuller or denser flavor.  Some people may like this flavor more than me.

Cloud Production: Earth’s Bounty Max VG line has pretty decent clouds.  I have had better, and then again I have had so much worse too.

Hmm….that was easier than I thought…..

Until next time…

  1. Interesting! I had a similar experience with a strawberry watermelon mint flavour. It was good, but didn’t have any depth. I actually haven’t tasted a watermelon flavour that I love yet.

Just wait for this one I’m getting ready to post in a few minutes. 🙂 Similar flavor profile, stark contrast in execution.
